Threepenny Review now reading submissions

threepenny currentThe Threepenny Review is an American literary magazine founded in 1980. It is published in Berkeley, California by founding editor, Wendy Lesser. Maintaining a quarterly schedule (March, June, September, December), it offers fiction, memoirs, poetry, essays and criticism to a readership of 10,000. They only read submissions from January 1 through June 30.

Please become familiar with the magazine before you submit. The current issue is available online. Back issues are also available in digital or print for a fee.

Word Length
Articles: 1,200 – 2,500 words
Stories & memoirs: 4,000 words or less
Table Talk: 1,000 words or less
Poetry: 100 lines or less

Payment:  $400 per story, memoir, or article; $200 per poem or Table Talk piece

Reprints:  No

Rights:  FNASR (First North American Serial Rights) in digital and print

Submissions:  Online submission form, or by mail. No email submissions. No simultaneous submissions.
