Stoneslide welcomes unsolicited submissions

stoneslide logo2The Stoneslide Corrective e-magazine and Stoneslide Books are published by Stoneslide Media. Owners Christopher Wachlin and Jonathan Weisberg describe their e-magazine as “a wheellbarrow pushed by a mule.”

They are looking for stories that use characters and emotions and make readers think.

“We like serious, comic, lighthearted, dark, emotional, and acerbic. The important factor for us is that the work use story.”

Stoneslide Books is looking for “novels with strong character development and narrative thrust, brought out with writing that’s clear and expressive.”

Length:  No more than 7,500 words for the e-magazine; 1,000 words or less for flash fiction

Please note:  “We accept short fiction of any length. If it works as a short story, it’ll go in the magazine. If it works better as a book, we’ll make it a book. If it’s something else, we’ll invent the form for it.”

Payment:  Short fiction or nonfiction – $250; Flash fiction – $100. Pays upon publication. Book deals pay small advance plus revenue sharing.
