HarperLegend seeks visionary fiction

Posted on May 10, 2016

Think Siddhartha by Herman Hesse, or The Screwtape Letters and Space Trilogy by C.S. Lewis, or Buddha by Deepak Chopra. Whether you call them visionary fiction, or spiritual novels, or stories of transformation, novels like these have had life-changing impacts on their readers.

HarperLegend, an imprint of HarperOne, publishes new authors of visionary fiction in ebook format. They are seeking novels, trilogies, or series that communicate wisdom, insight, transformation and/or personal growth. They want fresh voices, great characters, compelling story lines, and original ideas and approaches. Stories may include Christian or Eastern religions, or general spirituality, personal growth, wisdom literature, fables, historical fiction, fantasy fiction, and even paranormal fiction as long the theme is transformation.

Submit complete manuscripts only, no partials. Fiction only, no nonfiction. If your novel is part of a trilogy or a series, send the first book. HarperLegend does not send rejection letters. If you haven’t heard from them in 3 months, they have decided to pass on your submission.

Length:  Any length; but 50,000 to 60,000 words is ideal

Payment:  Royalties only; 25% for the first 10,000 copies sold and 50% thereafter

Submissions:  Use online submission form
