Desert Breeze Publishing is a digital publisher. They are actively seeking romance fiction in a variety of sub-genres, as well as mainstream women’s fiction either with or without romantic elements. For the complete list of sub-genres considered see DBP Submissions.
They like novels that cross multiple genres. They do publish series but currently they prefer to focus on single-title releases.
Specifically they are looking to grow and expand their Sci-Fi Rom/Futuristic Romance/Speculative Fiction Romance genres by offering character-driven sci-fi novels with strong romantic elements. Steampunk is also in high demand.
They would like to see romantic suspense novels, with characters — both male and female — who serve in law enforcement, civil service, or the military.
Desert Breeze Publishing releases six to twelve books a month, with three release dates a month on the first, the eleventh, and the twenty-first with two to four books at each release.
Word length:
Novels (preferred) — 55,000 to 80,000 words
Novella — 25,000 to 35,000 words
Super novel length — 100,000 words or more
Series: Query first
Reprints: They will consider previously published work with proof of release.
