Raised Voice Press accepts creative nonfiction till June 30

Raised Voice Press is an independent micro-press publishing creative nonfiction. From the website:

We aim to encourage conversations by amplifying diverse perspectives.

We appreciate authors who illuminate unconventional and unnoticed aspects of existence, and we endeavor to connect them with eager, receptive readers.

We uplift the unusual and the overlooked, the complex and the hybrid.

We insist on being heard.

Their first open submission period has been extended until June 30.

They are interested in nonfiction, including hybrid forms and essay collections that can be described in these terms:

  • creative nonfiction
  • literary nonfiction
  • narrative nonfiction
  • imaginative nonfiction
  • literary journalism
  • lyric essay
  • personal essay
  • personal narrative
  • literary memoir

Length:  100 to 250 pages, in English. Authors must be located in the U.S.

Payment:  $200 advance, plus royalties and 10 copies

How to submit:  Query first via email, include summary and first 10 pages. No proposals, manuscripts must be completed.
